CHALLENGE:

Icalma, Huilo Huilo, and Cochamó Valley are relatively remote, protected areas located in Chile’s famous lakes and volcanoes region. The local communities have worked hard at preserving and conserving their land and culture while slowly opening up to sustainable tourism. The Chilean Tourism Board wants to attract more international travelers to this area who are responsible travelers and enjoy experiencing some of the new tourism products being offered, such as Community and Indigenous tourism and adventure tourism (hiking, climbing, mountain biking).

SOLUTION:

GLP is creating compelling stories to attract responsible, sustainable travelers who are interested in experiencing Indigenous and Community tourism, culture, gastronomy, and adventure travel.

Key Goals

  1. HIGHLIGHT THE AREAS’ STORIES OF CONSERVATION AND SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS.

  2. ATTRACT MORE RESPONSIBLE, SUSTAINABLE TRAVELERS TO THE REGION.

  3. SHINE A LIGHT ON LOCAL STEWARDSHIP AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP.

This campaign is in progress. More information coming soon!
