GLP Films Named a Finalist in the 2017 Adventure in Motion Film Contest

GLP Films joins seven other finalists in the fourth edition of the Adventure in Motion Film Contest for the film, "The Man at the End of the World."

As the winner of the 2016 Adventure in Motion film contest, GLP Films is hoping to repeat last year’s success in the 4th edition of the film contest hosted by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), AFAR, and ExOfficio. GLP Films, along with seven other finalists, were notified of their selection to the Top 8 by the 2017 Adventure in Motion Voting Committee on August 17, 2017.  The Voting Committee was made up of esteemed industry professionals in the fields of travel and conservation, including Dan Westergren, visual storyteller and former director of photography at National Geographic Travel, Kenneth Shapiro of TravelAge West, James Sano of World Wildlife Fund, Chunnie Wright of the Law Office of Chun T. Wright, Fernando Escudero of Autentica Salta, Steve Barker of Wild Places, and Casey Hanisko of the ATTA.

Public voting launched on August 26, 2017 and will continue through September 30, 2017, at which point the three films with the highest number of Facebook “likes” will continue on for a live screening at the Adventure Travel World Summit in Salta, Argentina. At the screening, a live vote by Summit attendees will determine the 2017 Adventure in Motion winner.

GLP Films’ contest entry, “The Man at the End of the World,” features the remote and otherworldly landscapes of Tierra del Fuego through the eyes of one of its original pioneers, Don Germán. The film shares the estancia way of life; a life born out of isolation and a passion for working the land, and how tourism could be the thing that saves it.
