GLP Films Wins Best Adventure Travel Film for Second Year in a Row

Authentic Story-driven Film “Man at the End of the World” Awarded First Place in Adventure Travel Trade Association’s 2017 “Adventure in Motion” Global Film Contest

Kennebunkport, Maine (November 1, 2017) -- For the second consecutive year, GLP Films, an award-winning content marketing agency specializing in travel trade storytelling and content marketing, won first place in the 2017 “Adventure in Motion” film contest.  The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA)’s 4th Annual “Adventure in Motion” film contest has established itself as a coveted travel industry competition, bringing in over 140 film submissions from leading travel brands around the world.  The winning film, “The Man at the End of the World,” was determined during a live vote by over 850 travel trade professionals at the Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) 2017 in Salta, Argentina.

GLP Films produced the winning film in partnership with Turismo Chile as part of a strategic content marketing campaign to support the emerging travel destination of Tierra del Fuego, Chile.  The campaign features story-driven content centered around authentic local characters and their connections to sustainable tourism development in the rugged and remote region at the southern tip of Chile, known as “the end of the world”.  The winning film, “The Man at the End of the World,” features Tierra del Fuego through the eyes of one of its original pioneers, Don Germán. The film explores the estancia way of life; a life born out of isolation and a passion for working the land, and ultimately questions whether tourism could be the thing that saves it.
