Marketing + Storytelling + Sustainability + Travel.  

GLP is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and hard-working Marketing & Project Manager to join our team. This will be a unique opportunity to work directly on client-facing content marketing campaigns, with ownership of managing select communications and marketing responsibilities. The Marketing & Project Manager will work closely with the company leadership team to plan, execute, and track marketing campaigns and campaign strategy for company marketing efforts and client campaigns. The role will also involve engaging in project management and client relations management for a diverse mix of GLP client campaigns. 

The ideal applicant will possess a working knowledge of hands-on marketing and communications best practices, with at least 3-5 years of experience. Marketing agency experience is preferred. Strong characteristics of a successful candidate include media savvy, client communications, marketing strategy, relationship management, content management, marketing analytics, email marketing, and more. Knowledge of sustainability and experience in the travel industry are also both helpful.

This role provides the candidate with the opportunity to work directly with our Marketing Team and take a leadership role in marketing & communications initiatives that impact company goals, client campaign success, industry partners and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Develop content and communications strategies to support the company marketing goals, along with ongoing client campaigns

  • Ongoing campaign and project management for client campaigns

  • Draft, manage and oversee Marketing Campaign Reports

  • Craft marketing content and communications as assigned

  • Assist with various other marketing or communications projects as needed

  • ​​Provide pre-production support for campaigns that align with sustainable tourism values, promoting responsible travel and positive impact on local communities

  • Work with media and external partners to expand the company’s marketing and distribution strategy and network

  • Craft engaging marketing and communications materials including press releases, communications toolkits, website content, blog articles, email marketing, and social media content

  • Update company website to reach SEO optimization, sales conversions, and traffic goals

Requirements

  • Excellent communication (email, phone, text) and organization skills

  • Agency experience (marketing, creative, public relations) is preferred. 

  • Knowledge, interest, and experience with sustainability and the travel industry

  • Must be highly self-motivated and able to work efficiently and independently via a virtual work environment  

  • Graphic design, writing/editing experience, and knowledge of SEO are a plus

  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Canva, Squarespace, and all major social media platforms, preferred

  • Experience with campaign management platforms, such as AirTable or Trello

  • Spanish language proficiency a plus
