official selection of TOP Sustainable tourism videos From OVER 100 submissions
Kennebunk, Maine (March 17, 2020) - GLP Films (GLP), an award-winning content marketing agency for the travel and sustainability industries, announced the Official Selections for their 2nd Annual “Best Sustainable Tourism Films” short-film competition. The announcement was made online at glpfilms.com after the cancellation of ITB Berlin 2020.
GLP Films invited the travel industry to submit their best short films that support the overall theme of sustainable tourism. More than one hundred films were submitted by travel trade organizations and filmmakers from around the globe. The five official selections announced on March 17, 2020 were chosen based on the strength of their sustainable tourism messaging, overall video quality, and use of compelling storytelling.
The winning short films spanned five continents and covered diverse sustainability-related themes from community tourism and wildlife conservation to local food, women’s empowerment, and cultural heritage. The Official Selection included 5 sustainable tourism videos from Black Forest Collective, Wideoyster Magazine, World Nomads, G Adventures, and Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism.
“We are thrilled to celebrate these inspiring short films and the progress the industry is making towards sustainability. We thank all the travel brands and filmmakers that submitted their videos to this annual showcase event, and look forward to continuing to shine a spotlight on sustainable tourism through storytelling and future invitations for the industry to share their work,” states Laura Knudson, Marketing Director of GLP Films.
