GLP Films Announces Best Sustainable Tourism Films of 2019

Official Selections Featured in Short-Film Showcase at ITB Berlin

GLP Films, an award-winning content marketing agency for the travel and sustainability industries, announced the Official Selections for the ‘Best Sustainable Tourism Films 2019’ at ITB Berlin.

For the first time ever, GLP Films opened the call for submissions to the travel industry to submit their best sustainable tourism short films. After receiving over 50 video submissions from across the travel industry, GLP and their partners curated the best videos based on key criteria such as strength in sustainability topic, video quality, and compelling storytelling. The Official Selection of the best short films was showcased at GLP and ITB Berlin’s popular “6th Annual Short-Film Showcase” at ITB Berlin.

The Official Selection of short films spanned 5 continents and covered diverse sustainability-related themes from wildlife conservation and adventure travel to cultural heritage, gender equality, community tourism, and more. The Official Selection included 6 sustainable tourism videos from The Treadright Foundation, Intrepid Group, Palau Legacy Project, Rota Vicentina (Portugal), Georgia National Tourism Administration, and Australis.

“We are thrilled to celebrate these inspiring short films and the progress the industry is making towards sustainability. We thank all the travel brands and filmmakers that submitted their videos to this inaugural showcase event, and look forward to continuing to shine a spotlight on sustainable tourism through storytelling and future invitations for the industry to share their work,” states Laura Knudson, Marketing Director of GLP Films.
