GLP Films Presents “Explore Your Maine” Video Series Campaign to Celebrate Three Regions Across the State of Maine
New Collaborative Campaign Leverages 11 Character-Based Videos to Support Local Travel in Portland, MidCoast, and Lakes & Mountains Regions of Maine
Kennebunk, Maine (July 28, 2020) -- GLP Films (GLP), the award-winning content marketing agency dedicated to global sustainable tourism, and three regions in Maine—Lakes & Mountains, MidCoast, and Greater Portland—have partnered on a video series campaign to promote local travel in Maine. The “Explore Your Maine” campaign is intended to inspire “backyard” exploration in Maine through the distribution of 11 new videos that celebrate Mainers and authentic Maine experiences.
The “Explore Your Maine” campaign invites local travelers to rediscover the beautiful state of Maine in a new way this summer. Filmed across the three regions last August, the videos spotlight what makes each region unique and special, while also complimenting multi-regional travel and showcasing the full diversity of the Maine experience. The videos feature socially distanced activities and businesses that adhere to current health and safety guidelines amidst COVID-19. They promote safe outdoor and nature-based adventures like kayaking and hiking, as well as diverse food experiences with socially distanced dining or takeout services. Most importantly, the 11 videos support community businesses and the livelihoods of local Mainers.
“It has been exciting bringing three regions of Maine together for this collaborative campaign. As a fellow Mainer, I hope this campaign can help share the sense of community and what makes Maine so special, and those local travelers are encouraged to rediscover Maine in a new way this summer,” states Rob Holmes, Founder & Chief Strategist of GLP Films.
The video series will be distributed across digital and broadcast channels via a collaborative marketing campaign involving media, influencers, and the travel trade in Maine and nearby states. Highlights of the video series include a hard-working oyster farmer in MidCoast, a family-owned Japanese street food restaurant in Portland, and a story of outdoor heritage in the Lakes & Mountains region. The video series also includes an online travel resource with insider recommendations from each region based on the filming locations and tips from local Mainers in the videos.
